SBA Business Recovery Centers in Florida Closing; Last Days to Meet With Representatives
ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that the Business Recovery Centers (BRC) in St. Johns and Volusia counties, Florida will close permanently on Thursday, December 22,2016.
Businesses, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters with uninsured physical losses due to Hurricane Matthew are encouraged to visit the Business Recovery Centers before they close. SBA representatives at the Centers can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help survivors complete the SBA application. The Centers are located as indicated below.

Applicants may be eligible for a loan amount increase up to 20 percent of their physical damages, as verified by the SBA for mitigation purposes, including a safe room or storm shelter.

Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov. Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 16, 2016. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 17, 2017.
